I just finished Breaking Dawn by Stephenie Meyer yesterday and now I don't have a good book to make me want to crawl into bed. Help me if you can by suggesting a few good books that I could really "sink my teeth into." What have you read latley that will make me want to read and not just want to fall asleep.
Did you read the Host? Did you try Life of Pi? I've been holding on to it but haven't started still. I say who needs books anyway? Just read blogs:)
ReplyDeleteI've read them both (I actually own them both--anybody want to borrow them? They were great). Good suggestions Jenn....any others?
ReplyDeletei loved the glass castle. escape by carolyn jessop was good too. happy reading! (i loved breaking dawn!)
ReplyDeleteI had such withdrawls after Breaking Dawn that I went on Stephenie Meyer's website and watched the trailors for Twilight a whole week after finishing the book and found out she is writing a 'companion' book on Twilight. YIPEE!!!!! Now I am back to my Sudoku puzzles at night.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED A Thousand Splendid Suns, but you have to get out your box of tissues! That was one I couldn't put down.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the suggestions. Now if I could find the time to get to the library I'd be in good shape.
ReplyDeleteI loved Gone With the Wind. Don't worry about it being too much like the movie - it's MUCH better. I loved it and plan to read it again soon. I have a copy if you want to borrow it. The book is over 1000 pages, so you can enjoy for awhile.
ReplyDeleteI'm going through withdrawals, too! I just finished Breaking Dawn & started reading Inkheart with Annie. (She checked it out at Shelley) I'm liking it so far, but I'd love to borrow Life of Pi sometime!
ReplyDeleteBooks that I highly recommend and have recently read:
